Malnutrition is common in patients with cancer and is associated with poorer patient outcomes. The metabolic, inflammatory, and endocrine changes during cancer contribute to cancer patients having specific and additional nutritional needs.

In addition, reduced food intake by cancer patients is a key issue. It is reported that 30-90% of the patients with cancer are malnourished depending on tumour type, location and treatment. It is important to maintain an adequate nutritional status for every cancer patient throughout their journey, supporting body weight and muscle mass for better patient outcomes.

In this section, you can find educational content on nutritional care in oncology patients, nutritional guidelines and clinical patient cases.
