Welcome to this e-learning course. It has been designed to introduce you to the diversity of nutritional risks, status, assessments, and interventions in patients with cancer. This is Module 1: The Fundamentals of Nutritional Diagnosis in Oncology. Each module should take you approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Nutritional and metabolic disturbances are widespread among patients with cancer, and they are associated with a poor prognosis. Their diagnosis may be challenging, and their importance is often underestimated.

Therefore, it is important to increase the awareness of healthcare professionals (HCPs) of nutritional and metabolic disturbances in patients with cancer and to educate HCPs regarding relevant diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
