Ketogenic dietary therapies (KDTs) are well-established, nonpharmacologic treatments used for children and adults with medication-refractory epilepsy. This publication covers the re-evaluation of ketogenic diet best practices, 10 years after the previous guideline publication. The guideline recommends the use of the Ketogenic diet in children after 2 anti-seizure drugs have failed, and earlier for several epilepsy syndromes.
