The International Symposium on Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine is organized in collaboration with the Departments of Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine at Erasme University Hospital, Université Libre de Bruxelles, and the Belgian Society of Intensive Care Medicine (SIZ). Held annually in March since its inception in 1980, this symposium has grown to become one of the largest events in its field, drawing over 5,000 participants from across the globe.

This four-day symposium aims to provide attendees with an up-to-date overview of the latest clinically relevant developments in research, therapy, and management of critically ill patients.
